Book Notes

These are some of my favourite books that have inspired me or positively affected my career or life.

According to Robert DiYanni, we are what we read. We may read for instruction or even for inspiration. But more than this, when we read, we rediscover ourselves. We gain access to the lives of others, explore the limitless possibilities of human existence, develop our understanding of the world around us, and find peace from the hectic demands of everyday life.

Books that you’ll find on this page are mostly books that are not only my favourite ones, for one reason or the other, but more importantly, because they have inspired me or positively affected my career or life.

Universal Principles of Design

By far, the first cross-disciplinary reference on design. From the “80/20 Rule” to “Chunking,” from “Baby-Face Bias” to “Ockham’s Razor,” and from “Self-Similarity” to “Storytelling.” This book is richly illustrated and easy to navigate; this book pairs clear explanations of the design concepts featured with visual examples of the concepts applied in practice.
